EGG BABYS AND THEIR NESTS
The kids always love our egg baby activity where they get to adopt a "baby" for the day and play parent, making sure it doesn’t become an omelet. This year, we decided to ruffle their feathers a bit by testing their bird knowledge. Each kid picked a specific bird and then had to use the right tool—whether it was a pair of tongs, pincers, or tweezers—to mimic their bird's beak size. Armed with their new "beaks," they set out to build a nest for their egg, hoping it wouldn’t end up scrambled!
CRAWDADS!! @THE LAGUNA
What an exciting day for the kids! Solene's mom, Camilia, shared her favorite childhood technique for catching crawdads, and the kids quickly mastered it, catching plenty of crawfish. We returned our catches to the laguna, but not before getting an up-close look at these fascinating laguna crustaceans!

THE FUN DOESNT JUST HAPPEN ON OUR FIELD DAYS .... SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO PRACTICE YOUR PYRAMIDS AT THE PLAZA
SALT POINT STATE PARK FAMILY CAMPOUT
Our annual nature club family camp out is always fun and an opportunity for families to gather together in nature and around the fire. We explore the tide pools during the day, and the talent show is always a hit and entertaining. This year's show was no exception.
