STEELHEAD BEACH, RUSSIAN RIVER, JUNE 7

We came across a patch of plants called Dutchman's pipevine. The pipevine swallowtail (Battus philenor), also know as the blue swallowtail, uses pipevine as it's host plant. As you can see we saw eggs, many caterpillars, and butterflies flying about. We also discovered that if you listen real closely, you could hear them munching!

SALT POINT FAMILY CAMPOUT, June 17-19

We had a really amazing and wonderful time together filled with so much wonder, exploration, learning and FUN! Session 2 was a blast! We hope you enjoyed the photos!
